Apply for a DigiD

Step 1 of 4

Personal data

You are now going to apply for a DigiD. You live on Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, Saba or abroad and aren’t registered with a Dutch municipality.

Do you live in the Netherlands? Then you must use the application form 'I live in the Netherlands' to apply for a DigiD.

Please note: Once you have completed the form, you will receive an SMS and email with a service desk code. With this code you can receive a DigiD activation code within 30 days. You can receive this code online during a video call with Netherlands Worldwide [opens in a new window] or by going to a DigiD service desk [opens in a new window]. You activate your DigiD with the activation code.

This is what you need:

  • a telephone on which you can receive SMS messages
  • an email address
